Why I Canceled My Disney Plus Subscription?

But I don’t want a “Message,” I want entertainment. I don’t want to think about diversity, inclusivity, or any other buzzword. I want a good story (which can include diversity and inclusivity, but without making me think about it…) I want to be entertained without feeling like someone is trying to brainwash me.

I completely understand that minorities have always been overshadowed by majorities and that they are seeking their space, which I find fair.

I support this pursuit of equity.

But I am also a defender of meritocracy and quality. We cannot sacrifice the quality of stories for the sake of a specific message and hire people just to fill “ideological quotas”. Otherwise, we risk falling into the ridiculous and transforming society, with this new cultural logic, into an insane and unjust society, which would be contradictory to the type of message they are trying to convey.

Again, I want content that provides me with just entertainment, it’s simple. It doesn’t have to be constantly politicized. In exchange for what? Recognition? Applause? I applaud when actors are truly acting and not pushing agendas or other interests. I applaud when producers create worlds and…
